Facebook

For the sake of time and to make it easier for Preston's mom and dad to make posts - I made a facebook page for Preston's updates.  You should be able to view this page with/without a facebook account.  I haven't restricted it at all.  It is a lot quicker and easier to load pictures and updates there for all his family, so just wanted to post a link to it here as well.  Preston is doing great - We were able to talk to him on the phone yesterday and he is doing awesome!  They are teaching three families right now.  He says that they eat tons of rice and beans and the dogs are HUGE and not very nice and that when it rains you get soaked in a heartbeat because the raindrops are like the size of a quarter.  We are so proud of you Pres!  Keep up the good work!

Update

Preston is doing well in Costa Rica.  They have had two baptisms and are teaching an additional three families.  He has been sick with a stomach bug but is on some medication now and doing better.  He doesn't have a lot of time to write but it does sound like things are going well! Keep up the great work Elder Miller!!!

Update from Costa Rica

The family received an email tonight from Preston in Costa Rica. He is doing so well! He says it was a big shock for him at how different it is from home. He said it is a lot dirtier than the United States and wild dogs all over. His companion is from Mexico. He was already able to baptize a sweet sister into the Gospel last Friday. He said they let the new companions baptize and that it was an amazing experience for him. They are teaching lots of families right now too so that is neat! His Preparation Days will be Fridays while he is there. He got to watch General Conference in English which he enjoyed. We are so proud of you Preston - Keep up the good work!!!

Update from his parents

The latest up date on Elder Miller is he is doing great and is really enjoying his time in the MTC. We can really tell that he has changed so much since he has been there. He is doing just great in learning Spanish and everything else. He tells us that his companions are great and he says that he's getting fat which we don't think so. He was too skinny when he went in. He is making all of us very proud and we love him dearly. More up date later.

The Drop Off :)

Well Preston has been at the MTC for going on 8 hours and he was quite upbeat when we dropped him off. We hardly had time to get in any hugs before the Elders had his bags and ushered him away. We didn't even have time to shed any good bye tears. Ha Ha! They came on the drive home! We know that he's in very good hands and he is looking forward to studying and learning Spanish - Mom & Dad
